Pragna Bharati is Andhra Pradesh chapter of Pragna Pravah.
Our Endeavour is to bring to the Indian view point. India has been bestowed
with abundant natural and mental resources.
To see life, truth and nature as a continuum is the hallmark of our outlook. In contrast, the Western view of life sees mind and matter, faith and reform, man and nature, religion and science as separate.
Pragna Bharati's Activities and
Programs:
To translate the above aims into practice, Pragna Bharati:
1. Prepares an exhaustive list of intellectuals of the area.
2. Conducts periodical group-discussions, seminars, symposia, round-tables and
invite competent scholars to deliver lectures followed by a Question &
Answers session on topics relevant to the objectives of Pragna Bharati.
3. Has set up a library of reference books and magazines for study and
reference.
4. Publishes important lectures delivered at our fora and other relevant
materials.

now
Pragna Bharati started its activities in early 1991. So far, it has
conducted many seminars, symposia, lectures, etc. on national and intellectual
issues like Secularism, Nuclear Option, Indian Constitution, Economy, Human
Rights, Swadeshi Movement, Common civil Code, Hindutva etc. These events were
attended, amongst others, by eminent intellectuals like Sri A.P.Venkateshwaran,
Arun Shourie, Nanaji Deshmukh, S. Gurumurthy, A.S.Raman, K.S.Sudharshan,
Justice Rama Jois, Gopal Rao Ekbote, Ranganath Mishra, Maneka Gandhi,
A.B.Vajpayee, Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi, Moulana Wahiduddin Khan, Prof.
F.D.Vakil, Mohith Sen, Dr. B.G.Siddharth, Ramoji Rao, K.Suryanarayana Rao,
H.V.Seshadri, Dr. Suman Sahai etc. It has over twenty branches all over Andhra
Pradesh including all University centers and important towns.
To facilitate its functioning, Pragna Bharati, A.P. also operates through
the following wings:
1. Vignana Bharati
2. Maharshi Bharadwaj Institute of Vedic science and Technology
3. Centre for Development studies
4. Centre for Women’s Studies
These wings have also been taking up various activities and projects relating to indigenous science, technology and medicine & women’s issues.
Pragna Bharati also publishes a monthly magazine Bharatiya Pragna. Bharatiya
Pragna is an English monthly intellectual journal with a nationalistic
spirit and a universal outlook, published from
Bharatiya Pragna aims at:
1. Providing a rich mental pabulum to the inquisitive;
2. Finding ways and means to strengthen our democratic polity;
3. Attempting to prioritize the imperatives for a national agenda;
4. Forging a harmonious and strong, progressive and prosperous society within
the compass of a peaceful and happier world;
5. Dovetailing the quintessence of our hoary, yet eternal, glorious
culture and philosophy with that of the modern and latest all aimed at
catalyzing our national resurgence.
